Broken Cameras and Old iPads.
Yes, I didn't post last week.
Every Other Week?
I’m thinking about switching this blog from every Tuesday to every other Tuesday. It’d be easier for me to come up with content in that timespan as opposed to coming up with content every week. It seems like I’ve unofficially made the switch, considering the fact I continually keep doing it, and I think I’m going to stick with it.
Broken Camera
Ever had a electronic die on you? Well, it happened here, and to the device I’d least expect to have a catastrophic failure. Specifically my Panasonic Lumix G7 camera. I had bought the thing used in very good condition last March. A few days ago, I was taking pictures with it. The thing started to seem to act up, and then I couldn’t get it to turn back on.
Turns out these Lumix cameras have a fuse that goes bad for not good reason. I tried to make a bridge to go over said fuse for testing purposes, but I don’t have the proper wire or fine soldering skills required to do so. I ended up ordering a replacement board, as I could not find anything about the value of the fuse anywhere. Hopefully that will fix the problem, and I’ll probably try to bridge the fuse thing again on the busted board.
Old iPads
Well, old if you consider the fact they’re probably coming up on 11 years old this year. Specifically, a iPad Air 1st generation on iOS 8.3. Yes, it’s old. Yes, it’s running a ancient, deprecated version of iOS. Yet it still feels new. And clean. iOS 8 looks really good on this tablet. The Control Center, lockscreen, and even the multitasking switcher thing complete with “recent contacts”. Not to mention the old-looking Siri. And it all looks very nice on this white-and-silver tablet thing from Apple. I should mention the camera isn’t that great.
Pictures.
I didn't take any of the fuse inside my camera, but I do have some of the iPad Air. It is running iOS 8.3 in all pictures.
