San Antonio Photos: Post 2/4.

A Duck, A Park, and a Parking Lot.

San Antonio Photos: Day 2.

Day 2 was not the best day of the trip. Some inconveniences came up in the morning and prevented us from doing stuff most of the day. No more details on that will be shared. We did, however, manage to make it out of the rented house in the evening and spend a couple hours outside of the house doing stuff.

We were thinking of going to the Japanese Tea Gardens, though by the time we would have arrived they would have been closed. Instead, we went to the Denman Estate Park. It has a lake with a path around it coated in trees, and a Korean pavilion to look at (you cannot enter it). The entire park was fairly nice. There were ducks, but some of them looked to be in bad shape, especially the females. We walked around the park for around an hour or so, and of course I dragged along my camera to get some photos.

The lake, with the pavilion off to the side of the photo.

The pavilion.

A sleeping duck.

Duck standing on the bank of the lake. It was standing on one foot for quite a bit, leading me to believe its foot is hurt.

Ducks in the lake.

Two turtles in the lake. One seems to be a younger turtle.

Tent caterpillars in a tree along one of the paths.

Some of the trees have these things sticking out of the ground. They make for a interesting photo.

A photo of the sunset taken in a parking lot (not at the park).

I did happen to see this train passing by that day, and couldn’t resist stopping to take some photos from a different point than the train crossing. This was not at the park.

Train cars on the train track.

The rear engine of the train.

And that’s it for this special edition San Antonio post. I plan to post post 3 out of 4 in a couple weeks.
